In response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Call to Action #40 for “all levels of government, in collaboration with Aboriginal people, to create adequately funded and accessible Aboriginal-specific victim programs and services with appropriate evaluation mechanisms,” the Ministry of the Attorney General (“MAG”) procured the services of Jenny Restoule-Mallozzi to conduct community engagement sessions and review the need for Indigenous victim services in Ontario (and recommend what forms Indigenous-specific victim services may be offered).
